Halfway there

I think I can safely say I'm over poinsettia's. After 2 weeks of making poinsettia's, looking at poinsettia's, FIXING BROKEN poinsettia's...I've had my fill. Tonight I'm assembling the cupcake tree but I made a round cake to adorn the top of the tree. I think it turned out cute...I especially love the fondant pine cones. It was fun to play around and figure out a way to make them. I love it! I love the idea that everything on cakes is edible, even though I can't imagine anyone coming up to get a slice of cake and saying "I'll take the pine cone, please..."
