Daddy home, Daddy home.....Daddy home!!!

Ned returned home from his school in Canada this afternoon. We are SO GLAD that he is back with us and we have him all to ourselves for a while! Now we can really start getting excited about our big Utah trip next week. The kids were so excited when Daddy came home. Tatum had been crying over a trip to the Dollar Store that had turned sour due to long lines and bad attitudes and was still crying from it all. The doorbell rang and she ran to answer and there was her Daddy. She was so excited! We are so very proud of Ned and his many accomplishments. He finished 2nd in his class and got the highest grade on the final. He really did an outstanding job, and I appreciate all the hard work that he does for our little family! Go Ned!! We love you!

Tatum has started kind of a pin collection the past year. It all got started when Ned gave her an old pin off of his suit. She wore it everyday for months. So now whenever her goes anywhere, he always brings her a pin for her collection. She is wearing "dolphins" (which is insignia for submarine warfare) for the Australian Navy. Ned got one from one of his Aussie friends he went to school with. What a great pin to add! She is thrilled!!!

It is an exciting day when your little baby gets to turn around and face forward in the car seat! Carson is such a big boy!

Well, I thought I'd put a recent photo of me on here since I am usually the photographer, and not in the picture! The other picture was taken the first week we moved to Whidbey Island in April. I have been working really hard on my weight loss the past 6 months. So far I've lost a little over 30 lbs! Since it is too cold to do my walking, my friend and I have been going to the gym every morning. It's been great-there's a huge family area with toys and gym mats for the kids to run around so we both get our excersise. I still have another 25 pounds to go, but I'm more than halfway there! Thanks to all my friends and family who have supported me along the way! It's been a hard road and I couldn't do it with you guys!

Here is a cute smile from Carson today. He is getting so big...I can't believe that his birthday is on Monday! What a blessing he has been in our lives this year!

Tatum and I made chocolate rice krispie treats today. They were really good. We used chocolate marshmallows, which are new; I've never used them. Tatum had a great time making a treat. Ned comes home tomorrow and we are all excited!

Something's fishy...

The house was just too quiet for comfort last Sunday. I came out of the kitchen to find my Carson getting into an entire bag of goldfish crackers! I guess that's why we have vacumes!
